The Sidewinder Antenna
The Snyder Antenna Systems portal reading antenna is called “The Sidewinder,”
because it is the first portal antenna with a side facing pattern, allowing it to be mounted flat against a wall. It is a truly unique antenna system which uses waveguide technology to achieve a highly effective pattern for reading across portals, while having an amazingly low profile.
While conventional patch antennas must extend into the read space by 10-12 inches and use at least two antennas, the new Snyder antenna mounts against a wall and protrudes only two inches.
