The Sidewinder Antenna
The Snyder Antenna Systems portal reading antenna is called “The Sidewinder,”
because it is the first portal antenna with a side facing pattern, allowing it to be mounted flat against a wall. It is a truly unique antenna system which uses waveguide technology to achieve a highly effective pattern for reading across portals, while having an amazingly low profile. While conventional patch antennas must extend into the read space by 10-12 inches and use at least two antennas, the new Snyder antenna mounts against a wall and protrudes only two inches.
In many cases where appearance or an unobtrusive installation is important, this antenna will provide the answer. A single antenna provides full vertical coverage of the portal and a broad pattern in the horizontal plane. Connectors are provided for bistatic operation using separate receive and transmit ports, for best sensitivity. Single connector monostatic operation is also supported.

STANDARD HF ANTENNAS
  
Some systems do not need the common 10" to 24" size patch antenna. Our little 1" X 4" UHF antenna is ideal for many systems requiring a much more compact size.
